ha! yeah, that's about right... they both have pros and cons. I enjoy driving the c900's more than the 9-5, but I enjoy driving the 9-5 more than any other modern car that would meet our needs (that I've driven)... We have kids and do long trips, and the 9-5 is a very good touring car. Fun fast and comfortable on the highway. It is also safer (not that the c900's aren't safe, but they weren't really designed to be T-boned by a SUV). Parts are more expensive. Failures less common (it is newer though).
Certainly the driving experience from the c900's is more direct, and they seem to work better in snow even without the electronic gadgets of the newer cars... but I feel a bit guilty rotting them out for that (with all the salt)... so I think that is why they are going up in value - many have crashed, rotted, or simply been given up on, so with fewer left, and increased demand/interest since Saab's demise (it's like a dead artist)... well yeah, of course they will go up in value... and if the SPG was SAAB's masterpiece, a minty version 20 years from now could really be worth something! I definitely think a minty SPG should be worth more today than a 10 year old 9-5 aero. Supply and demand. GM era saabs became almost worthless post-bankruptcy. People are giving up on them. I hope NEVS makes something cool with roots or at least values going back to the c900 rather than GM. I suspect that it may happen but will for sure take a while (for practical reasons).
