What is a good value for 900 SPG nowadays? Aren't these cars as much a question of what you are willing to pay to own one as much as what they are "worth" or what their " value " is? I bought a beryl green SPG recently, where given that I was intent on restoration ( and therefore most anything could or might be replaced ) my single most important condition was to acquire a rust free car. Currently , doing an engine re-build, new paint, full new leather, wood for all the usual places ( by a guy in UK ) and performance upgrade ( although nothing too aggressive ). It is taking longer than I originally planned but probably if I had thought about it, should have allowed for. When finished, by the general views of people here I would be in negative equity ( but by the way $3100 is IMHO not close to being what a good example is worth, that is way too low) but I will own a car, if all works out, that I want to own, at a bit more than I had originally planned. In time ( and that may be quite some years ) , I would expect this to be " worth" what I have put in to it, but in the meantime I hope to have got enjoyment out of owning a vehicle I really like and I will not be looking to sell in the interim.
