I'm at my end of tricks to try. I recently had my rear calipers & pads replaced on my 89T vert (w/o ABS) by a non-saab mechanic - moved so I can't go back. The E-brake never worked and I've since discovered the rears never worked as well. Upon inspection I determined the pad set adjustment was never right, so I adjusted that - tightened all the way down & then back off 1/4 turn. My problem is I have bled all the calipers by either gravity, pump & hold, reverse or power bleed (with a syringe) and nothing works. I still can not get the rears to work. The E-brake works & I can get a steady flow of fluid out of all the calipers w/o bubbles. Am I missing something? Could the mechanic have broken something in the caliper with the piston adjustment. What about a proportioning valve? Is there such a thing and if so are they the blocks on the firewall? Or am I just going about this all wrong? Thanks for all suggestions.
