Correction to previous post. The statement: "Place a 15mm open-end wrench on the bolt head and loosen the bolt while holding the nut with a 17mm box wrench." is incorrect. The 15mm should be 14mm.
Also, some notes regarding installation. Place the starter into position and thread the lower 17mm starter-to-block nut on but do not fully tighten it. Now, to align the two holes in the rear bracket place a piece of copper wire onto one of the threaded posts on the rear of the starter, feed it straight upwards through one of the spaces in the intake manifold and secure it to the engine somewhere. By pulling up gradually on the rear of the starter you can align the holes so that the bolts can be installed.
Regarding the upper starter-to-block mount bolt and nut: the 17mm nut is very difficult to get started on the bolt because the hoses, etc. are in the way. I held the nut in place with grease on the blade of a large screwdriver while the other hand turned the nut with a screwdriver just enough to get it started. Finish tightening it with a 17mm box wrench. It's a little tricky.
