I just got new cables installed, but not very effective Posted by CBS [Email] (#969) [Profile/Gallery] (more from CBS) on Tue, 20 May 2014 09:54:32 In Reply to: this is the photo I needed! Since I repaired my rear brake lines with unions/flares I needed to have a working ebrake for confidence at least. My local shop (not specializing in Saabs) was 50% cheaper than indi so I had them replace the cables and the rear calipers this Winter. Now, when I pull hard on the ebrake lever while moving, the Saab (88 SPG) barely slows down. I know the primary function of the ebrake is for parking, but I expected more stopping power bite (and I remember such) when pulling the ebrake lever. You guys think an adjustment of those allen bolts would solve this or is my current situation to be expected?
