CBS,
you've got to adjust both cables and calipers for your parking brake to operate properly. If you do the calipers only then you may end up with lots of backlash in the lever-to-cable joint - and thus the first two-three-four clicks when you pull it up will be of zero braking effect because you start pulling cables only on the third-forth-fifth click.
Cables are adjusted in the lever-to-cable joint (you've got to remove the center console thing which hosts the window switches, rear ashtray and the ignition key hole + I had to remove the driver's seat to gain access to the LH cable nut) and you might have to go under the rear seat to adjust cable jackets.
With parking brake cables being properly adjusted there is 0.5mm clearance in the rear calipers between the parking brake levers and caliper bodies. Allen bolts should be adjusted to the point X (when they start pushing the pads to the rotors) minus 1/4 to 1/2 turn back.
