Is 12.5 volts not enough for cranking? I get nothing except dim dash board lights and a click somewhere between the fusebox and starter area. The overhead (cabin)light is dim when the key is off. No headlights at all. I had 12.5v at battery post/terminals and 12.3v on the battery post clamps. Removed clamps from post and cleaned contact areas with 600 grit sand paper. Still at 12.3v. I'll check the coil, fuses and some other points - don't know if readings will be reliable if 12.5v at battery is not sufficient. When I attached my usually reliable 10 year old Sears battery charger to the battery the needle in gauge did not move and after 30 min the positive clamp was hot. Don't know if that explains anything. And, until I resolve this I will disconnect the battery to prevent a phantom drain from killing the battery.
