during a clutch replacement on my 93 900S.

It was a difficult two weeks as the clutch showed normal function right after the job was complete. And then a day later, a slight mushy clutch pedal feel that got worse as the week progressed. I guessed incorrectly which end to attack and replaced the master which only produced the same results in about the same amount of time.

I then tried a new slave on the second weekend and that did the trick.

Yes, the slave can be bad right out of the box.

I wonder if anyone has a way to tell how? Or is there something you can do to prep the slave before you assemble the whole system?
