Paul, Yep I know the guy, he visited me in Silverton a couple of times. Rebuilding a T37 is definitely more difficult than rebuilding a C900 five speed but how much more is dependent on the condition of the unit being rebuilt and how "picky" you are about minor and tiny details. Since I was rebuilding them as a business I had to pick up every stitch but because I was doing so many it was cost effective to re-machine and re-condition certain parts and replace bearings and other parts even if they were just slightly suspect. I was buying every core I could find back then. Nowadays so few people are interested in driving a C900 with an automatic that it just isn't worth the investment to rebuild them that way. Every time someone blows up a C900 five speed they get closer to that same status.
