As far as rust and corrosion on the rotor/pad surfaces, I just drive a few blocks in third gear at higher rpm with the brake depressed in order to clean most of that stuff off. Not as ideal as getting new pads/rotors every year, but these brakes are so good overall that imperfect rotors (pitting, minor waves) don't seem to greatly effect the performance. The presumed sticking caliper however is a different story. I have time allotted to pull the wheel off tomorrow to take a look. I think I'll try and work the piston back and forth and do a quick reverse bleed on that brake using the Mitivac. Also wire brush the rust off the contact points and grease them up. Maybe I can avoid having to buy a rebuilt that everyone says is crap. How tough is it to rebuild your own caliper? Maybe the collective will chime in...
