lot of sudden problems with the Winter beater this yr Posted by CBS [Email] (#969) [Profile/Gallery] (more from CBS) on Thu, 13 Nov 2014 14:12:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I posted earlier that the '88 SPG had a sticking brake. Well, that seems to have fixed itself!?
Now a few days after first driving it this season, the clutch when warm will grab. Smooth, normal, for the first 3-5 minutes from cold start, then I will let the pedal out and it suddenly grabs. It still releases normally in order to shift and I checked fluid level in reservoir, inside firewall next to master, and checked for fluid below slave -- nothing. Could corrosion on the disc or pressure plate be the reason? It's still drivable so far...just have to get the RPMs perfect and expect it. Don't like that I can't be smooth with it, ie, starting out in first. Have to give it more gas so it doesn't kill. Any ideas?
