Probably no danger if you don't constantly firewall the throttle, have excellent fuel, and your APC is operating.
All the AID is going to do is stop the boost from dumping the timing faster than you would like if you are a spirited performance driving junkie.
I had Brad's AID incorporated with his advancing distributor, so it would gently dump timing, but then add back 10 degrees of timing at 4000RPM through mechanical weights from a different distributor.
So, if you don't boost the engine, then the AID isn't a factor.
