Okay, so..................I've owned my 1991 900S, hatch, 5-speed, non-turbo for just about ten years. Mechanically the thing is in top shape and runs like a champ. I've put in a lot of new Genuine parts, rebuilt/refurbished many of the systems, including brakes, clutch, cooling, electrical, head gasket, axles/drivers, etc, etc. I really enjoy the C900 and had planned on keeping this one for a long time but the rust issue caught me by surprise. It was hidden behind the thick undercoating the factory used. The problem is that rust is taking it's toll and to repair the rusted areas of the unibody would be a difficult task. I am thinking of searching for a rust-free or minimal-rust chassis, possibly with mechanical issues, and transfer my drive train, mechanicals and interior, etc. over. My question is what model years can I use that would allow for a fairly straight-forward swap without getting into a lot of modifications, updates, and alterations? Thanks!
