Ghost stall; anyone has clues

Its an 88 turbo.
1. The car was experiencing a 'hick up' at high speed. So we replaced the ignition distributor.
2. The car again experiencing a hick up at high speed. This time didn't recover, no start with
a necessary towing. Again, replaced to a second distributor; car starts right away.
3. Same symptoms again (third distributor), car momentarily dies at high speed (heavy load) but recovers. On the recommendation from saabnet I sourced the electric wire that goes into the distributor (original looked sad) and solder that in with a "brand new rebuilt" (4th) distributor. Also replace cap and rotor for good measure. The car passes CA smog beautifully. Same day, the car stalls once more at high speed going uphill. This time cannot restart the car and have it towed once more.
Anyone has any clues what can go on? All work done on the car was by my saab specialists mechanics. On a last note, since I discovered the problem I avoided putting load on the car
(easy 65 mph freeway use only) for about 1500 miles with no problems. But the moment I load the car (uphill in high speed or heavy acceleration) the car immediately experiences problems that somehow appears to be related to the ignition distributor but doesn't go away when the
distributor is replaced.
Thanks and sorry for a long post.
