Bill, I used Parflex brand plastic tubing. I kept a piece about 3" long where it connects to the motor and connected the new tubing to the old tubing with the fuel hose and clamps. I cut a groove near the end of the new tubing where it goes into the gearbox with a cut-off tool in a lathe. I put a piece of 1/4" wood dowel inside the tubing to keep it straight and chucked it up in a lathe. The new piece is not brittle and should last a very long time. Once I find the photo, I will attach it here.
