Bill, you will need to square up both sides of the seat first, then make sure the drive cable is fully seated before you install the slit rubber hose and clamps. The repaired side worked as well as the sleeve replaced side. The only issue is the sleeves tend to be very brittle and will continue to break. I have used 3/8" od tubing to replace the expensive (over $50 each) Saab sleeves.
