It's a long shot, but the O ring between the throttle body and manifold might have been upset in the process, and it's leaking there?
Sure the butterfly is closed completely? Sometimes the TPS can inhibit the closure of the butterfly going to idle position.
Did you disconnect the battery to clear the memory of the ECU?
Somewhere a vacuum leak or the butterfly is not shutting all the way, AIC problem, etc.
You should post your year, model type to be more specific, like 1989 turbo, or 1992 normally aspirated as examples.
