Would trust Saab tensioner over oriental new one...

I know there was a redesign but I wouldn't worry much about which tensioner was on the car, only report of tensioner failure I ever saw on here was on a recently-installed aftermarket one made in the orient.
Sri, if you want you can check the tensioner extension: After you have the AC compressor out of the way you first remove the small bolt in the top of the tensioner, its long coiled spring and little plastic plunger come out with it. Then 1 1/16" socket and 1/2" breaker bar will crack the tensioner loose, hand unscrew it and see how far it's clicked out to. Just DON'T move the motor at all while it's out.
Don't pay extra for 27mm, Sears has the big SAE socket equivalents in stock but not the metric, and they're a fine product. It MEASURES the same if you mic it, so just ask for 1 1/16"
I wouldn't be much worried even if tensioner extends over 11 mm, some folks on here have said it is only a few MM less even with a brand new chain, and the thing will work fine to take up any slack to about 22 mm per other posters. As I said the great Anders said many cars are out there running fine with way more extension than 11 mm
I bet yours is at 11 if that much. Car may be 28 but at 120K it's just getting broke in.
