That's an interesting proposal that the indy mechanic picked the EZK as the ECU. And, very likely as it is exposed and has the appearance of an ECU which in essence, it is.....
I'll agree that water contact with the ECU via a drain plugged up or leak in that area would probably not fill up the ECU. Being damp in that area might have electrical gremlins though. Water could condense inside the ECU I suppose under special circumstances, but testing that proposal would be tough unless you had a window or secret weapon camera inside it :-0)
Our humidity is so high now, you need a chainsaw to cut a slice out of the atmosphere to open the storm door. Bought a new humidifier last night and plugged it in at 630 pm and thought -- OK, I'll see how much it collects in 12 hours. Got up at 530 and the blinking light was on that the bucket was full, and it's not a small unit.
