Thanks for your input. My 1988 has the drain plug at the rear and bottom of the transmission. I understand that I can get most of the oil out that way although some is left in the front part of the transmission. The front side cover would need to be removed to get the rest out. Unfortunately one boltis blocked by the Turbo support bracket and would complicate matters to drain it completely. I suppose I should keep flushing(changing oil)until the metallic look mostly disappears and then use my Red Line synthetic.
