1. place car on jack stands 2. remove wheel 3. place automotive jack underneath lower ball joint (lower control arm) and compress spring / suspension as far as possible 4. wrap wire rope between coils, alternate between the highest and points in between 6. make sure you wrap the wire as many times as possible, even 50-100 times, to the point of ridiculousness 7. lower automotive jack 8. reach in and remove coil spring
This takes a while but it works, and I believe it may be the safest option, if you use enough wire rope. It takes a lot of time. Wrap the hell out of it.
