Getting engine clatter under load in 2nd and 3rd up hill or 4th in the straight aways. With or without apc plugged in. When I posted about this a couple weeks ago Simon S mentioned front motor mount and alternator belt. i replace front mount as it needed it anyway. belts look fine. As landjet said my vacuum advance was not retarding or advancing and i was getting detonation. He was correct the advance was toast. So i replaced it. today on test drive i was still getting clatter and stuck in base boost. checked all vacuum lines and found that the line to the transducer under dash was split in many places. Replaced and i got boost 3/4 into yellow. the most I've had since i rebuilt this . Its a new turbo so i will adjust arm tomorrow with pressure gauge . But I'm still getting some serious clatter, what could it be?. I did the knock sensor tests. apc seems to be in working order. All new plugs, cap, rotor, bougicords, timing is set correctly. All hoses and lines seem to be in working order.the only other issue is after driving around today the idle went from 850 to 1400 when warmed and driven somewhat hard. Is this an exhaust leak or a pulley bearing going out or something as easy as a something loose vibrating to the very core of my soul.? I'm trying so hard to get this done with out taking her in. Any thing you guys can think of would be great thanks.
