I think both posters could have the fix , but would like to add it looks like you could have the non turbo and the hall sensor was moved to the crank shaft pulley in 89. Thereby save some of that spray its very cold, to spray in the area of the hall sensor at the crank shaft pulley area. Do this only once the car has stopped without your wanting it too. You can also bring this test into play by running your car a while and using a electric hair dryer to heat up the ignition modulator first if it doesn't shut it down then try the crank shaft pulley area. Anyway when you get it to stop or not restart cool it down and see if it cranks. That will help isolate the problem. You could also change out your distributor rotor. If it turns out to be the hall sensor at the crank shaft pulley get a 88 or earlier distributor with the hall sensor and wire it in . Follow up with the situation and I will give you wiring info. I am in the USA but was born at Kondinin.
