Replacing Starter on 1985 SPG - Issues

Hello All, it's been a while.
It appears the starter on my 85 SPG has failed and I'm having a tough time getting to the outboard (left side, under the throttlebody) bolt and nut. Originally, based on the fabulous description (not) on how to do this job in Bentley I thought it would be straight forward job.
I don't understand on how to access the small bolts to lift the shroud over the flywheel - there is just too much plumbing in the way. I saw some advice on this site about removing the pipe that goes from the air cleaner to the turbo, but on my car there is a T at the midpoint of the pipe that apparently has coolant in it, if I'don't remove that, I don't see how I get much benefit of moving the turbo intake pipe. I have a picture of all this, but don't know how to post it to this site.
Would appreciate some sage advice on how to do this job as it's beginning to look like I have to remove a bunch of ancillary systems just to be able to get to the job of replacing the starter.
Thanks in advance.
Barry
