This is great:-)....the Performance Board is re-borne from re-tarding ignition.
The Dawes Device is probably a bad idea now that the paint fumes have gone away ( yet another engine bay complete resto ) , and I had time to think about it.
Like the tallguy says, try the restrictor or find a smaller port on the throttle body.
Just remember that there is a limit to adding fuel to prevent detonation. The cooling charge temp has to be lowered by either chemical means or conductive means to make the inlet charge temp capable of lowering pre ignition possibility.
So, the end goal is not to find a transmission shredded, nor the engine grenaded. But, some smooth power that you can lay down in 5th gear as you go past 120 mph. OK, back to earth.......
