I'm going with a 9000 build. I would be curious to know what kind of things you've done to your 9000 this is my first one. I plan on getting a 5-speed transmission from scanwest. Plan on getting a used donor car from somewhere near Kansas City Missouri to do the tranny swap. I've gotten ahold of Jak he said I probably need a couple of ecu's to do the tuning sometimes they mess up or something like that not really sure. I'm looking to get around 350 horsepower can a stock 5-speed transmission be reliable or should there be something special done to the transmission. To reach those kinds of horsepower numbers do you change injectors what kind of Turbo is the best to use. I have a tdo4 off of the aero model 9000 plan on having it rebuilt,what size compressor wheel is best should I leave the turbine wheel the same? Any opinions on a short throw shifter. I had one in the 900 I wasn't too pleased with it I put the stock one back in. That was probably 10 years ago. Is the stock intercooler fine for those kinds of horsepower numbers or should that be replaced. The air conditioner works I would like to keep it.thanks
