for that 3rd position, how about a dual display gauge? As discussed, volts and an accurate coolant temp reading are both useful. SPA Designs sells 2-in-1 standard size gauges. Volts is an easy install, but you will have to find a place for the temp probe, it's a 1/8" ntp. I have it plumbed into an unused port on the block below the intake manifold, but that position might be used in your '92 for the turbo coolant lines... I guess you could tee off where the normal coolant temp sensor screws in.
