On a 99i would definitely do the flywheel side as the crank side is pretty cramped as it is. And, honestly, I think that the euro bracket looks right at home on the side of the block, whereas the crank pulley looks very bolt on. From a referee perspective, I could honestly see them questioning the pulley bracket. While totally functional, it wouldn't be something I would risk.
