Hello,
I would take off the level check cover and check the cylinder with the angled end on it. I remember putting it in with the wrong angle 1 time and it was almost impossible to shift into fifth. Do you understand the part I am talking about. Under the cover you have the ball and spring on the differential end and on the other end that cylinder that has the angled end that slides in towards the operating rods. It is an easy check.
