NTC sensor resistance readings. CoNfuSeD. Posted by Rose quartz 87 [Email] (#2119) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Rose quartz 87) on Sat, 5 Jan 2019 14:14:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi all,
LH 2.2 1987 16v Turbo.
I have the 538 ECU.
I'm reading 2900 ohms at the NTC sensor, (Disconnected from harness), and I'm reading the same at the ECU connector on pins 2 and 25 when the ECU is disconnected, (NTC connected at engine). These readings are in line with what Bentley says for the 15 degrees centigrade in my garage. However, when I probe 2 and 25 with the ECU connected it comes in at 1450 ohms. This suggests a temperature of around 40 degrees centigrade according to Bentley!
Shouldn't it read the same resistance at the ECU and at the sensor?
