Battery slow drain/ using a battery minder?

On my 1992 900S/CV I've experienced a battery slow drain for some time. I've driven the car less this summer due to my work schedule, and I frequently have found the battery (new back in May 2019) drains to the point of needing a jump after 4+ days.
I've traced the offending item to the radio antenna motor -
So I'm thinking of buying one of these smart battery minder trickle chargers.
But I'm wondering whether this will be okay hooked up to the battery WITHOUT disconnect the wiring to the car (positive and negative).
Thoughts on this question?
These battery minders keep a low current trickle charge on the battery and have smart electronics that reduce the charge as the battery gets fully charged, so I don't think it can harm any electrical/electronics in the car circuits.
Has anyone used one of these successfully without disconnecting the battery?
Thanks for any feedback and help:
