As MG said the tank is suspect. I've had to repair several 90's tanks .Never had to on an 80's tank with the Bosch pump. They crack on the top middle. Usually I have seen a trail of seepage coming down the front or back of the tank. I've repaired them with aircraft tank sealant. It's what my neighbor uses on aircraft repairs. It's not epoxy. and it's not cheap. $30-40 is a rough recollection. I've posted about it a few years ago. I had a tank on my '92' start seriously leaking in Wyoming on a Calif to Maine trip. Picked up a good used tank in the midwest. Installed it when I arrived. It started leaking a few months later. My opinion is that the tanks are just a little bigger than the body cavity and start setup. I run my straps a little less than fully tight.
