Thanks for the replies everyone.
Gasket is in there. I've changed the inner driver seals. Power steering pump and all associated hoses and connections are new. No leaks. The oil dripping smells and looks like Redline MTL mixed with 518 sealant. It's dripping from around the lower bolts on the cover as well as the bottom of the cover. The amazing thing is that the gearbox has been emptied awaiting a refill so what's coming out must be residual and clearly leaking quite badly.
I have a feeling the case is bent from when I had the engine and tranny on wooden blocks. Could be that the diff cover wont sit straight.
