Your pic looks great! Good job!
Our project was a ‘91 Monte Carlo Yellow SE (300 imported.) The floor looked pretty much like yours and worse including front and back and some side rail degradation. Using a hoist we cut an entire middle section including the door sills, side rails, lower firewall and lower rear trunk bulkhead from a straight, rust free ‘91 Vert at the boneyard (which in itself was a multiple day adventure.) Then trimmed it to size leaving excess on all sides and stripped it to bare metal both inside and out. Mounted the SE on extra-high jack stands and carefully aligned and supported it to preserve the geometry followed by cutting away the deteriorated sections to solid metal where the new floor could be joined duplicating the original factory structure.
Once both the car and the new floor were carefully trimmed to an exact fit, it was temporarily secured in place followed by precisely welding all the mating joints. The welds were then cleaned up and both inside and outside primed and undercoated with sealer. This work was a joint effort using our labor to procure the donor parts and prep everything followed by the help of an experienced nearby restoration shop doing the final fit and welding.
In the end, we saved a vintage rare Saab that certainly, with good cause, should have been destroyed. But, I will never do it again...
