I can shed some light on the origin of your part, as I am familiar with the car that I believe your seller pulled this from. He pulled it from a genuine Commemorative coupe at a pick a part in Missouri. I had a friend pull many parts from that same car, and the glove box had already been pulled, and that listing appeared online within a couple days of the car’s arrival at the pick a part. It was about the only possibly “commemorative” part pulled, albeit not really a commemorative part. Somebody had taken it as the easiest potentially high value part to pull by somebody unfamiliar with the car. Even the red box, which is an easy pull, was still there. So your seller wasn’t that familiar with the car. I have the door panels from the car with the matching dark brown aftermarket wood strips applied. They appear to be real wood, imperfectly aligned by whoever applied them, and definitely not the same as my lighter genuine commemorative dash. In my assessment, the seller probably thought it was genuine since it came from a commemorative, but it is not.
