Yes, those can be a concern. The structure around the subframe where the a-arms in the front connect are pretty solid so I don't have an issue there. But the bottom of the driver door is pretty rusty; the passenger side not. Also, the "threshold" under where the door shuts has triangular rust spots at each end. Seems localized but apparently water would run down the door sides (or up from under) and sit in those areas. Floorpan under the footwell of the rear passenger is rusted through about a foot square: water from leaks or a heavy rain would sometimes collect there for some reason. I tried to keep it dry. But I have 370K miles on this, so it is in pretty good shape overall I think. I live in the Midwest so rust it tough here. In the winter, I would be at the car wash in 30 degree weather hosing off the undersides of the wheelwells and getting salt and crap off the body. So I was pretty careful in those ways and that us why the condition is pretty good. It will be expensive to really get the rust taken care of, and I need to get it all if any, really. Finding a place that has the knowledge and experience to do that is as much of a challenge as the price.
