I had mine professionally done. It wasn't cheap but they prepped the paint before ceramic coating. Single stage looks amazing after a detail, but after coating, it just looked deep!
My hood had been cut a few times over the years so the paint was thin. The detailer knew tis and took a bit more care with it. It polished up beautifully. The choice to ceramic coat was not a cosmetic one. My paint oxidized and dulls rather quickly as the car used to sit outside. The ceramic was to help preserve the polish as long as possible.
Cleaning post coating is dead simple. A new microfiber and a spray bottle is all you need. No more hosing it down.
