Hello,
A few things to try.
When it acts up try disconnecting the MAF and see if works better. Have had them act up when hot and cause a stall.
Being an 87 you should have the pre pump to fill the bowl with the fuel pump. If it acts up with 1/4 tank of gas or less that is possibility.
Another acts up when hot possibility is the ignition module. Try cooling it quickly when it acts up. Some people spray with brake clean other use the upside down dust off spray to cool.
Also as far as the ignition module unbolt it from the heat sink and make sure no corrosion is in between the module and the heat sink. Then put a little dielectric grease on it and reinstall.
A failing electrical portion of the ignition switch can cause the voltage to drop under 10 volts and all type of weird things can happen. Try checking voltage on a +15 circuit. I think one of the test port sockets can be used for this. Good Luck, Bernie
