If you are blowing up B202 engines there is something very wrong. They are famous for going hundreds of thousands of miles being raced and driven really hard, frequently past the redline, by nuts like me. I've worked on, owned and rebuilt all brands of car, truck and motorcycle engines over several decades and a well maintained Saab B202 turbo (or NA) is high on the list of the most durable and bulletproof.
Maybe have your mechanic check the dipstick and ignition timing or just watch the temp. gauge? Sometimes these thirty year old cars need a new radiator or water pump regardless of mileage or use and turbocharged engines don't last long if overheated, have low or dirty oil or have their ignition timing way out of spec. Your mechanic might also check the old EFI system components (O2 sensor, NTC, AMM, etc.) for proper function. Defects there could skew the AFR to the point of engine damage under hard driving. You'll get plenty of good advice and assistance regarding service and parts sources for your C900 from the many knowledgeable people on this BB, maybe even after you imply that we all drive our eggshells like pussies.
Good luck!
