Thanks ! The story goes I fell in love with saabs when someone gave me a 1996 9000 in 2014, which re-sparked the memories of the 900's that I saw in the 80's in High school. so I saved my money for three years to find the best one I could, 5500 hundred in 2017 , A doctor owned it and it never saw rain or a winter. it always had a dash cover on it and it looks new, the seats always had covers on them and the carpets look like the guy took his shoes off in the car, it had a few minor flaws like a little clear coat peal on the rear bumper, and someone repainted the hood but only went over the old paint without stripping it so you do see the old chips underneath. A Saab woman bought it and only drove it 500 miles a year for seven years, and ran into money problems, and when she wouldn't budge on the price I said yes even though 900's were going for about two or three grand less back then... she started crying. and she said she wouldn't sell it to me if I didn't have a garage. cause it was the best one she had ever seen or had. So I bought it and had fun for 3 months. But I am old and stupid and was railing it like it was my corvette. Saabs will last forever ...if you drive like a pussy. but if you flog it like a rented mule, the little egg shell motor will break, (like the other two Saabs I had. so I blew the motor red lining it. now it sits in my Garage for the last 5 years and I'm tired of not enjoying it. so I want to do a motor swap to just get it on the road till I can rebuild the stock motor. and then just drive it like a teenage girl in a civic. so I can just keep it till I die.and just beat the vette, cause that's a Chevy, that doesn't break when I step on the gas peddle too much. I can't junk the Saab or sell it cause the car is a solid 8.5 out of ten. and is worth dumping a "$#!T" load of money into it. the prices have tripled on 900's in the last five years. so I know I can still get my money back when I'm too old to push a clutch. is there any differences in the years of those two motor that I should know about? Anyways, there is my "Sob" story.
