I'm trying to remember this repair from probably 15 years ago. I believe you drill out the rivets and open up the blinker mechanism and you'll see what the problem is. You'll take a Dremel and you'll see where it's not releasing correctly and you'll file that little area out until the blinker starts working again it's a relatively easy fix. I think it's something like that. Be somebody else will chime in that has done the repair sooner than 15 years ago. I know I've done it probably two or three times over the last 20 years
