Without regard to the SAAB transmission conundrum:
AFRs under full boost in any turbocharged engine should be maintained not higher that 12 on your wideband at WOT. A bit more safety is gained by running around 11.
I have owned RWD Volvos for the last 12 years, in addition to my C900. Tried to keep the redblock boost down under 18psi....although many ran low 20's. In that family of vehicles, the joy is that many stronger transmissions can be adapted to the back of the redblock..... certainly not the case in the SAAB unicorn design.
