Proper clutch for a 900 turbo that has a 9000 flywheel? Posted by Blue Devil [Email] (#3630) [Profile/Gallery]

I'm in the process of bringing a barn find 1994 C900 convertible back to life, and one unexpected obstacle turns out to be clutch selection. According to the VIN, this car was originally an automatic, and it turns out that a factory-fit clutch kit for a C900 turbo barely but noticeably doesn't bolt up, and the dowels don't fit either. I looked at the pressure plate that came with the car, and it's a Sachs item with "TYP MF 240" engraved on it. A search on this and other sites suggests that this is actually a 9000 clutch, and it must mean that whoever did the manual swap sourced a 9000 flywheel and got a 9000 clutch kit to go with it. Is this a reasonable conclusion from what I've found?
I am trying to replace as many consumables as possible on this car, so if that is indeed a 9000 pressure plate, should I just buy a kit for a 91-93 9000? The existing pressure plate has surface rust but seems otherwise in good condition, and the same is true of the friction disc, so I could leave it as-is for now; given how easy it is to do the clutch, I could just replace it down the line if it does need replacing. Any advice from the experts is welcome here.
