Well for your question regarding the 96 9000 into a 92 I have both of them here on the property I will take a look and see what I can find out. As far as some other information I've had a 84 86 87 and 88 all of those seem to be the same except for the 88 had the automatic seat belts so that set of seats was different if I remember right it had the lift up handle. But I actually removed those seats and the headliner and got rid of all of that automatic stuff and put in I believe an 87 seat into it and I had to end up welding in bracket so it would fit because it was definitely a newer style of seat bracket that they put in with the automatic belt . I also have a 1990 convertible I think that's the last year of the standard manual seat. And I believe the 1992 900 I have out there has the lift handle and it is a manual seat because it was a non-turboed 3-door hardtop. I do have a 1992 I know it had automatic seat belts and it was a convertible so I'm pretty sure you're correct that all the convertibles 91 and after had electric seats and the others did not I'm sure somebody else will chime in and tell me if I made a mistake.
