Hello,
Looks like it's hooked up correct. I see in your other post the battery did not charge. So yes as stated, you probably should start with a new battery. There may be a date sticker on the current battery and you can see if the old owner put in a new battery or just a new battery to this car. As well the comment about a parasitic draw is correct in that it can kill a battery by discharging and keeping it discharged. But get the battery and see what the battery/charging light does. The light provides the initial 12v to the alternator to wake it up and get it charging in this car. That is why you want to check out the light. If you have a light and it does not go out when the car is started you would need to check if 12v is being supplied to the alternator on what appears to be a white wire on your car. Good Luck, Bernie
