So a little bit more information. This is a 1987 Saab 900 turbo convertible that was an automatic. It is now a 5-speed cruise control I had not messed with so it has not been functioning since I have switched it to a 5-speed. I remember something about changing over some wiring in the area of the pedals when you switch from an automatic to the 5-speed from the first car I did which was probably 10 years ago I have forgotten most of that information as I've gotten older. That's the first thought as to what's going on maybe I'm not putting a couple of wires together that are supposed to be. Second thing is I have switched over to the APC solenoid from modern classic saab. The first one I put in had absolutely no issues at all and this was in a 1990 turbo convertible plugged it right in everything worked absolutely flawlessly. It is not my car and talk to the person tonight and they said working just fine. So I don't know if that's my problem or not. So here is what's going on today I disconnect the APC solenoid I have full Boost seems a little strange I've never seen that on a classic 900 before. I plug it back in I'm back at base boost. I leave the APC plugged in and I disconnect cruise control out in the fender well and I have full Boost and I mean 20 lb ridiculous. No matter how much I just the wastegate it is not really changing anything maybe I'm just overthinking this whole entire thing. So tomorrow I'm going to change out the wastegate and see if it's the wastegate. But I tested the wastegate that is in the car and it seems to just fine it's only got 70,000 miles on it which is not a lot. So I adjusted the wastegate to where the wastegate Rod was barely hanging on to the wastegate arm and I was still getting full Boost and then I adjusted it fully closed and was still getting full Boost. I'm also going to throw the old APC back on and see what that does. It's been a long day I'll stop rambling on. Any thoughts would be appreciated oh by the way I did disconnect the fuel cut off got rid of the hoses completely so there's no vacuum leaks. And the two wires are connected together so I don't hit fuel cut off anymore. But I don't think that has anything to do with anything really. Because before and after I did that I'm having the same results what's really throwing me is disconnecting the APC and I have wide open boost which makes me think that there's something going on with the APC solenoid because with the wastegate fully tight it is closed it is not opening so I don't understand
