I think you will need that adapter. The professionals on here may have much better advice than my shade tree wrenching!

If I can find the adapter I have can loan it to you and the FP gauge and FP lock ring tool. I am out of town for a couple of weeks though.

Looking back the failure I had was a warm start too and it was the pump. It would run for a bit though. Might be worth just a gross check and loosen the banjo fitting as I think BOS_saab suggested. Fuel Pressure Regulator would be another fun item if there is no pressure. Again the professionals would know but I think the diaphragm fails so there will be fuel on the "dry" side.

I did have another warm start problem a few years ago but that ran badly after it started. Was the ignition coil. That was back when we had Saab shops in the Bay Area and a total fail on my part to diagnose. They thought it was funny.

Obviously as the other guys here suggest I would look for spark first, which is easy if you pull a plug. CPS and ECU and the Coil. I don't thing the newer ones have an Ignition Amp in the wheel well like the 8V ones.

I hope the rust is ok there on yours. Just silly here in Calif that all the C900',s got scrapped rust free, for transmission failures.
