Hello...Thanks for the help. Possibly, it is the car. I live a little north of Boston, MA. It would be a 6-7 hr drive each way for me to go check in person. I recently talked to a private investigator about locating the car/seller. He charges $100/hr. Good chance I have already lost $4,500 on this situation so I did not want to spend more.
It has been quite a few years since I have owned a Saab. I was excited about buying this car and getting back into the Saab community. I took my time to find a car that interested me. Ended up in contact with Russell Angstadt who seemed very much a part of the Saab community. At this point I couldn't be more disappointed. I have no idea where the car or Russell are. I have been reluctant to say it, but I feel that I have been significantly taken advantage of.
There are not a lot of '83 900 Turbo 2dr hatchbacks out there with just 85k miles. I will mention again that most likely somebody knows where this car is. Just as importantly, somebody knows where Russell Angstadt is or knows somebody that knows him. I would very much like to resolve this situation one way or another and would appreciate any help.
(I will mention again that I have documentation to verify the exchange of $4,500 and a final purchase price that was agreed on for the car)
