actually you are by passing it. Find the fuse for your fuel pump, remove it, then look for something that has power all the time, remove that fuse, then jump from the power side of that one to the otherside of the one for the fuel pump, the pump should run. On most, you can jump from the inside of 27(hazard lights) to the outside of 30(fuel pump), inside is towards center of car, outside is the other way. Hope this helps.
