The Feds, so far, have no jurisdiction over Mr. Davies and myself, as we live in the UK. I'm sure you intended to refer to the rest of the US rather than the rest of the world.
From what I can determine, Lambda is measured directly during our MOT test and I believe the sole reason is to confirm that a closed-loop system is in working order. Perhaps the limits are specific to a particular model, but I don't know for certain. We don't measure NOx at all, to my knowledge. It wasn't on the printout I was given during my last MOT.
